Hamburg To Loan Out Forward Jose Paolo Guerrero

Jose Paolo Guerrero and Maxim Choupo-Moting could leave Hamburg on loan before the winter transfer window closes, Armin Veh has confirmed.
Armin Veh has confirmed that Hamburg will allow Jose Paolo Guerrero to leave his club on loan, and the coach added that fellow forward Maxim Choupo-Moting could also be sent away from HSV to earn match practice.

"We will probably let a striker go. For Maxim Choupo-Moting and Paolo Guerrero there have been loan requests," Veh confirmed.

"Paolo is still a first class player. After his injury last year, he has yet to recover his form. For the moment, Mladen Petric, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Anis Ben-Hatira are ahead of him," Veh added.

"So it makes sense to give the player the chance to earn match practice at another club."

Guerrero, 27, has struggled to find his form after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear that forced him to miss the majority of the 2009-10 season. The 21-year-old Choupo-Moting, by contrast, has been fit, but has struggled to create and score goals throughout his professional career.
