Del Neri believes the Bianconeri's struggles will end very soon.
Juventus coach Luigi Del Neri has dismissed suggestions that the Bianconeri's season has collapsed and claims that they still remain one of the stronger sides in Serie A.
Juve crashed out of the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening as they went down 2-0 to Roma in the quarter-finals. The Turin giants have also fallen behind in the race for the Scudetto and currently sit outside the top four.
However, Del Neri has assured the fans that the Bianconeri are very much on track to achieving their objectives this campaign.
“From the outside, people see the glass half-empty. From the inside, we consider it to be half-full," he told the press.
“It’s not true that we are out of the running for everything. In Serie A we’re still on track for our planned objectives, which is to remain close to the leading group ahead of the final sprint for a Champions League spot.
“Juve deserve respect for what they are doing. If the teams just above us are considered to be in great shape, then why should Juventus be described as in freefall?
“So far I cannot rebuke my team for anything. We take responsibility in front of our fans and are disappointed by the elimination from the Europa League and Coppa Italia, but we can still do well. It’s not as if Juve get to the Coppa final every year.”
Looking ahead to Sunday's encounter against high-flying Udinese, Del Neri said, “Udinese are a side in great shape and picked up six points from their last two Serie A games. In that same period, we got four, so not too shabby.
“They played excellent football even when they weren’t picking up points. We played a good game when we last met and have to once again play our football.”
