Slovakia international also hails Meireles.
Liverpool's Martin Skrtel has hailed fellow team-mate and young defender Martin Kelly, who has figured in all five games managed by new boss Kenny Dalglish.

The Reds manager went three games without a victory before notching up his first win in his second stint in the Anfield hotseat at Wolves last week and then went on to defeat Fulham in midweek, with the young right-back showing signs of potential throughout that period.

"I think Martin Kelly is doing really well for us," Skrtel told the club's official website. "I remember when he played against Chelsea at Anfield this season and was one of our best players.

"He did extremely well playing against their big stars and he competed very well with them.

"He is working really hard and I am happy for him because he is a nice guy and a great player."

Skrtel also paid tribute to midfielder Raul Meireles, who has been an integral force in the Reds' rise in fortunes in recent times.

"He's a great player with a lot of quality and he showed this when he played for Porto and he is doing the same now at Liverpool," he said.

"It was an unbelievable goal he scored against Wolves and I saw it very clear because I was right behind him.

"It was one of the best goals I have seen this season."
