Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie has joined Milan on a free deal after reaching agreement on a two-year deal.
Juventus defender Nicola Legrottaglie has joined Milan on two-year terms.

The news comes just hours after the 34-year-old Italian revealed he would be leaving Juve to pen a deal with Milan.

Neither club has confirmed a deal as being official, but Calciomercato.com reports the units of negotiation as having been completed after Legrottaglie concluded dialogue in Milan this morning.

Legrottaglie fell out-of-favour with his surroundings in Turin, with coach Luigi Del Neri opting to use Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci as his prefferred centre-back pairing.

On Sunday night he said: "Tomorrow, I will be going to Milan to sign. When I say my goodbyes at Juventus, I will tell them exactly how I feel."

He joins a hoard of January transfers at Milanello following the arrivals of Antonio Cassano, Urby Emanuelson, Didac Vila and Mark van Bommel.

Rossoneri coach Massimiliano Allegri is expected to use Legrottaglie in Thiago Silva's place, with the Brazilian moving further forward to help in midfield.
