Ghanaian expected to make his debut against Stoke City.
Sunderland have completed the signing of Sulley Muntari on loan until the end of the season from Italian champions Inter.

The midfielder was part of Jose Mourinho's treble winning side last year as they won the Champions League, Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Muntari has Premier League experience under his belt as he played for Portsmouth in the 2007-2008 season, winning the FA Cup in the process.

The Ghana international was then signed by Mourinho in the summer of 2008 for €16 million, he played a key part in securing the Serie A title for Inter last season as they romped to the title.

In two-and-a-half years at San Siro, Muntari played 59 games scoring five goals.

The former Portsmouth man will join up with his fellow Ghana team-mates Asamoah Gyan and John Mensah at Sunderland, both are believed to have played a key role in securing the midfielder's services for the Black Cats.

Muntari is not expected to play in Sunderland's next fixture against Chelsea but should figure against Stoke City in a week's time.
