Blackburn look to set launch a £8 million offer for West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans, with striker El-Hadji Diouf used as part of the deal to persuade the Baggies to part with the 23-year-old, reports The Daily Mail.
Dorrans is a key part of Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo's plans, and the club turned down a £5m summer offer from West Ham for the Scottish international.
The acquisition of Dorrans would follow the return of Roque Santa Cruz to Ewood Park, with life at Rovers appearing to stabilise in the wake of the controversial sacking of Sam Allardyce and the appointment of Steve Kean on a permanent basis.
Reports suggest that if Dorrans was to leave The Hawthorns, ex-Brazil international Ewerthon could arrive on a free transfer having been released by Palmeiras.
Birmingham, Blackburn, West Ham and Sunderland are all currently been linked to the 29-year-old, who had previous stints at Borussia Dortmund, Real Zaragoza and Espanyol.
West Brom are also said to have enquired about the return of Hungarian international Zoltan Gera currently signed with fellow Premier League strugglers Fulham.
Di Matteo will face competition from Blackpool, who despite having made no official inquiry are currently being linked with the midfielder.
