Ranieri asks Roma to believe in a championship conquest.
Roma coach Claudio Ranieri says that he is hopeful of chasing Milan all the way in the race for the Italian league title this season.

The Giallorossi progressed to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia on Thursday evening after defeating Juventus in Turin and take on Bologna in Serie A on Sunday.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Saturday, Ranieri enthused, “I would like there to be some analogies between the fight back to the top of the table we saw last year and the recovery we are showing now.

“I hope for a similar comeback run of results, but we cannot predict the future. We can only do everything that we can to push the balance to our side.”

“My lads are not concentrating on off the field matters and must continue that way. Roma are having a great season and we’ll have another very tough test against Bologna tomorrow,” continued Ranieri.

“The efforts of the Coppa Italia in Turin used up a lot of energy and we certainly played well, although someone like Jeremy Menez has talent and only gave 50 per cent in that game. He can do much better and he knows it.”
