Sought after striker says whole team can be heroes.
West Ham new boy Demba Ba believes he is the man to save the club from Premier League relegation.
Moving to Upton Park on Friday in a three-and-a-half-year deal, the 25-year-old is determined to haul his new club away from the foot of the Premier League.
"This situation is not easy for West Ham but I will give everything to play these last 14 games and to win the maximum games as possible," Ba said.
"I will do my best to score as much as we need. That is what I am here to do.”
Ba will be looking to replicate the form that saw him net 40 times in 103 appearances for Hoffenheim. Form which ultimately put him on the radar of a host of Premier League clubs.
Capped nine times by Senegal, Ba has shrugged off accusations of a troublesome attitude after allegedly taking strike action to secure his move to east London and insists he is here to play for the team.
