Wenger claims the Dane is a 'top quality' striker.
Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner has revealed that his inspiration stems from previous Gunners legend Thierry Henry and hopes it will help propel the club into a winning era.

The Danish international scored an Henry-esque goal against Ipswich Town last week which helped push the red-and-white outfit into the League Cup final and within 90 minutes of bringing silverware back to the Emirates following a six-year drought.

"It's fantastic to be in the final. I think this is the start of something bigger and if we win it will give us not only a confidence boost but also a trophy, something we haven't had for a long time,” said Bendtner, according to The News of the World.

"I'm looking forward to the final so much. It's the first chance for me to win a trophy and it's the same for some of the other lads."

Bendtner is hoping that their triumph in the League Cup will boost the current squad to the level achieved by the 'Invincibles' in 2003-04.

The Dane praised Henry’s presence on the training ground, as the Frenchman spent the opening weeks of the new year at Bell Lane, preparing for a busy season with the New York Red Bulls in the MLS.
