Manchester United Will Not Recall Tom Cleverley From Wigan Athletic

Tom Cleverley, the Manchester United winger, has been given permission to continue with his loan deal at Wigan Athletic until the end of the season, according to Skysports.com.

Cleverley's initial loan deal with Roberto Martinez' men expired earlier this month and the youngster was expected to stay at United for the rest of the season as Sir Alex Ferguson was keen to have him as a part of the league leaders' squad in the second half of the campaign.

However, with Antonio Valencia expected to return from a broken ankle quicker than expected, Ferguson has now reportedly given Cleverley permission to stay at the DW Stadium for the remainder of the season, so as the England under-21 international can continue to get regular first team action.

Cleverley has scored three goals and put in some strong performances in his 13 appearances for Wigan so far in this campaign.
