Lippi and Spalletti could form new team at Juventus as Andrea Agnelli becomes impatient with the go-slow season.
Juventus have trained the telescope on distant targets as Marcello Lippi and Luciano Spalletti come into view.
A fractious start to 2011 has led to plans being reconsidered in Turin. President Andrea Agnelli feels a revolution is needed after witnessing cranky progress.
Three of six games have been lost this year, and Juventus are out of Europe and the Coppa Italia.
And Il Corriere dello Sport claims Lippi, who has been out of work since the World Cup, could be hired as a director at the club.
The former Italy coach has been linked with a Ukraine role, but their political wrangle with UEFA has led to different considerations.
He has excellent relationships with Juventus given his past there and he is both admired and desired by Agnelli.
Spalletti is also on the horizon. He recently won the Russian league title, and despite his heavy-wage contract, Juventus would consider his arrival.
A reduction to his salary would be expected by Juventus, and Spalletti could yield for a Serie A return.
