Schalke’s Jefferson Farfan Close To Completing Wolfsburg Move

Want-away Schalke winger Jefferson Farfan is set to get his wish, with Wolfsburg on the horizon.
After several difficult weeks with Schalke, Jefferson Farfan is poised to complete a transfer to Wolfsburg, Bild has report.

Farfan has been subject to criticism from head coach Felix Magath and as a result missed the first few days of die Koenigsblauen’s winter training camp, leaving him behind the remainder of the squad in terms of fitness and sharpness.

Having fallen out with the trainer to such an extent that the pair were not on speaking terms, Farfan has made it clear that he would like to leave the club.

Wolfsburg are closing in on a €15 million deal that would grant the exciting winger his wish.

All that is reportedly required for the deal to be signed is for Schalke to find the Peruvian’s replacement. Patrick Ochs has been touted as a likely target, and with a price-tag of only €2m, they would make a healthy profit on the trade, which would certainly boost their bank balance.

With seven goals and six assists to the name of Farfan this season, the Ruhr club are set to lose a valuable asset, however.
