Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets declares delight at signing contract extension until 2015.
Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has spoken of his delight at agreeing a contract extension with the club until 2015, confessing that the deal was a “dream”.
The 22-year-old will remain at the Camp Nou for an additional two years after weeks of negotiations, and his minimum fee release clause also almost doubled in value to €150 million.
Speaking to the media today of his delight that terms had been agreed, Busquets remarked: “It is a dream to continue my career here, I am young and I have many things to learn. I will keep working and hopefully in a few years I can be like Xavi and [Carles] Puyol, with joy and many titles.
“You have to take things as they come. Everything went very fast, and many titles arrived quickly, I played many minutes in the best team in the world and I am at home. I hope things keep going as well as before.
“It has never arisen that I would play anywhere else, I would never consider my future until I finish this contract. Then I’ll be 27, but you cannot think of things that are so distant in the future.”
