Inter plan to seal move for Udinese ace Alexis Sanchez when both teams meet next week.
Chelsea and Manchester United could be left hanging for Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez as Inter gain an advantage in the race to sign him.

The Nerazzurri are pressing for the best deal and could close business for the 22-year-old Chilean ace when they take on the Fruilani in Serie A next week.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that it will be a chance for transfer director Marco Branca to express Inter's penchant for the winger who is also being courted by the Premier League duo.

Inter coach Leonardo suggested that Sanchez could be their Antonio Cassano after Milan unveiled their asset to the press on Friday.

"Cassano is a great talent, even though it is not easy to keep certain attitudes at bay in the dressing room," Leonardo told the press.

"Sanchez? A great player, just like Cassano."

Leonardo neither confirmed nor denied plans for a transfer, but Udinese are holding out for €25 million and have already rejected €18m plus Jonathan Biabiany.

It is said that Branca has been back at the drawing board trying to siphon off extra funds to seal a move before the close of the transfer window.
