Despite impressing in Birmingham's 3-1 League Cup victory on Tuesday night, Serbian striker Nikola Zigic will be loaned out to La Liga outfit Racing Santander, according to talkSPORT.
The giant forward came on as a second half substitute when Birmingham were trailing 1-0, and although he didn't score, he played a crucial role in his teams 3-1 victory after extra-time.
It has been reported that Birmingham will still ship him out this month with Zigic set to complete a loan move to Racing Santander for the remainder of the season - just six months after Birmingham paid Valencia £6 million for his services.
According to the report, Racing will be paying for his wages until June, by then a permanent deal could become a possibility.
If the deal goes ahead, it would be the third time Zigic will play for Racing in his career. He spent a year there in the 2006-2007 season, scoring 11 goals in 32 appearances. He then went on loan in 2009, scoring an impressing 13 goals in just 19 appearances.
