Valencia President Manuel Llorente: Coach Unai Emery Can Employ Any Tactics He Desires

Valencia president Manuel Llorente claims he doesn't care what tactics coach Unai Emery employs, as long as the team wins.
Valencia president Manuel Llorente has remarked that he does not care which formation is employed by coach Unai Emery, as long as the team continue to record victories.

Los Che’s recent unbeaten record in the Primera Division has edged them to within just a single point of Villarreal, who currently occupy third position, and victory over Atletico Madrid on Saturday will put them ahead of the Yellow Submarines, for 24 hours at least.

Llorente confessed that he is unconcerned by how Emery sets up his team, as long as the wins continue to arrive.

He said: “He can use a diamond, a square, a trapezoid... a hexagon can be used as a tactical system if the match ends in a victory. The important thing is to win, regardless of the system.”

Llorente also looked forward to next week’s Champions League tie against Schalke, and stated that the club aspire to reach the final of the tournament.

He remarked: “The club wants to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League by defeating Schalke, as it is a competition in which we want to reach the final.”
