Ranieri hopes that the lack of reinforcements last month doesn't dash Roma's title chances.
Roma coach Claudio Ranieri has admitted that the lack of January signings could dent the Giallorossi's Scudetto chances.
The Lupi didn't strengthen their squad during the winter transfer window while league leaders Milan and defending Italian champions Inter both did.
"[Sporting director Daniele] Prade said that Milan and Inter were in need of reinforcements, but we didn't? I am not in agreement with him," Ranieri said, according to fifa.com.
"They were already stronger than us and have had more money to invest, hence, they have intervened in the market.
"We, at this time, could not invest a penny. I hope that this market does not penalise us."
Roma take on Inter at San Siro this Sunday.
