Magpies top scorer believes the club can avoid relegation.
Newcastle United midfielder Kevin Nolan has revealed his annoyance regarding the media attention surrounding Andy Carroll's transfer and is looking to move on from the striker's departure.

Nolan has already been quoted as saying he was "delighted" that Carroll managed to join a "fantastic club" in Liverpool but has since apologised.

Carroll become the most expensive British transfer signing when he signed for Liverpoool for an astonishing £35 million, eclipsing Rio Ferdinand's previous record.

Nolan and Carroll became close at Newcastle and ended up sharing a house after Carroll was ordered to after bail charges were imposed on him for an assault charge he was later cleared of.

Nolan managed to offend sections of the Newcastle faithful with his claims of Carroll moving to a fantastic club but apologised on the club's television channel.
