Pastore is hoping to play more minutes alongside Lionel Messi.
Palermo midfielder Javier Pastore has pleaded for more opportunities at the international level with Argentina. The 21-year-old came off the bench to have a positive impact and hit the crossbar in the 2-1 friendly win over Portugal on Wednesday evening.
Pastore did admit, however, that there are several stars in the national team fighting for playing time.
"I am agitated. Why can I play all 90 minutes for Palermo but not with the national team?" he questioned, according to tuttomercatoweb.
"I know there are great players and they must be respected. I enter when it's my turn and try to do my best. I was lucky enough to go in and create two or three situations for goals and this is important.
"I will continue to work hard to earn a place."
