Sevilla President Jose Maria Del Nido: We Can Still Achieve Our Targets For The Season

Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido feels that his team are capable of achieving their pre-season targets, despite poor run.
Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido has reiterated his belief that the club will achieve their goals by the end of the campaign, ensuring that they remain among the biggest teams in the country.

In a recorded speech posted on the club’s official website, the supremo offered a message expressing his confidence in the ability of the team, and in their capability of finishing in a high position in the table, despite currently being 13 points off the Champions League positions.

He stated: “Let no one doubt that at the end of the championship, we will be among the largest teams in Spain. We will continue fighting among the majors, and to those who believe that we are dead, we will let them know we are more alive than ever.

“When things go bad, we are going to get ourselves more motivated to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves.”

Del Nido also added however that the current run of results have not been of sufficient quality, and the performances not of the level expected.

He continued: “The team is not getting results, and I would tell the players that there is no defeat in the hearts of those who struggle. We have to fight until the end, and it is not important how many times we have fallen, but the strength in which we have raised up.

“We remain confident in our squad, we are convinced that we will soar, and with the support of the fans, we can reach where we dreamed at the start of the season.”
