Final phase of Roma acquisition from Thomas R DiBenedetto just hours away from completion.
Thomas DiBenedetto's Roma takeover is on the verge of being completed as UniCredit chief executive Federico Ghizzoni confirms progress in negotiations.
"The talks are going very well. There is plenty of positivity," Ghizzoni told MF Dow Jones.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims DiBenedetto has confirmation from the Bank Piper Jaffray that he has the funds to complete the takeover, which is now only hours away.
All that remains is for some paperwork to be signed by DiBenedetto before the takeover is finalised and made official.
And there is plenty of optimism rebounding from America as one of DiBenedetto's business partners Julian Movsesian underlines plans for the future.
"I have been following Italian football for 40 years and I am now a Roma fan. We will cultivate the best marketing in the world and I hope Roma can win the Scudetto already this year," Movsesian told Italiansoccerseriea.com.
