Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Breno from Bayern Munich.
Three years after narrowly missing out on signing Breno, Real Madrid have once again been linked with the promising young defender, who in 2008 joined Bayern Munich.
With Ricardo Carvalho nearing 33 years of age and Pepe's future uncertain, Los Blancos are considering their options in central defence. According to Cadena Ser, Breno has impressed Real manager Jorge Valdano, who is considering making a move for the player this summer.
At just 21 years of age, Breno has shown tremendous potential, but inconsistency and cruciate ligament damage have set him back. He is now a substitute at Bayern, and with his contract set to expire in June 2012, this summer could be the proper time for Bayern to sell.
