Ronaldo is one of the main targets as graffiti and vandalised cars greet Corinthians home from Copa Libertadores failure.
Corinthians fans have reacted angrily to their side's disappointing exit from the Copa Libertadores yesterday evening, with a small minority painting insults onto club walls and even attacking cars.
The Timao crashed to a surprise defeat last night against Colombians Deportes Tolima, losing 2-0 on aggregate after two poor performances in the tournament's preliminary rounds. Ronaldo and company returned to Sao Paulo this morning, and faced the wrath of supporters who were hopeful the club would lift the Copa for the first time in history.
Globoesporte today released pictures of graffiti daubed onto the Corinthians facilities, with messages such as 'Ronaldo out' and 'Ronaldo shameless fatty' amongst the insults directed at the Brazilian legend.
The squad attempted to make a quiet return to Sao Paulo, but on arriving to club headquarters several parked cars had rocks thrown through the windscreens, and some 50 supporters stayed at the entrances to continue the assault on the players.
The fans eventually left before police arrived on the scene, and no-one was held for the damage and vandalism.
